Dr. Allen Vantrease received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University before attending medical school at the University of Tennessee. He returned to Nashville to complete his residency in internal medicine here at the UTHSC-Nashville campus. His love of the program and the Ascension Saint Thomas hospital system led to an additional chief residency year prior to joining the faculty and embarking on his career as a hospitalist at Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown. Dr. Vantrease is interested in philosophy, trivia nights, and spending time with his wonderful family.
