Lindsay Green, MD

Assistant Professor

Dr. Lindsay Green is originally from a small town in southern Indiana and made her way to Cincinnati where she completed her undergraduate education at Xavier University (where she met her husband, Nate) with a degree in psychology. She fell in love with the Jesuits and completed her medical school education at Loyola Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago. She traded in the Windy City for Cowtown as she completed her family medicine residency and an additional year of Maternal Child Health Fellowship at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, TX. During residency and fellowship, she traveled to Kampala, Uganda, where their team of fellows operated alongside Ugandan physicians on the labor ward at Mulago Hospital. After fellowship, she worked at a federally qualified health center in Memphis, TN, working in the outpatient primary care setting as well as providing operative obstetrical care. According to Dr. Green, she was thrilled to join the faculty of the UTHSC-Nashville Family Medicine Residency (and live in a less humid area of the Mid-South!). Her professional interests include caring for under-served patient populations, maternal/OB care, resident education, and physician wellness. Dr. Green and her husband love traveling, outdoor activities, and exercising. They welcomed their first child in 2019.
