In 2022, the state of Tennessee recognized the need to provide physicians in rural communities across Tennessee and to meet that need funding was provided to expand our residency program. We recruit one resident per year for the rural track. We are proud to be able to partner with Ascension Saint Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville, TN to train a select group of residents with a heart for caring for the underserved in our rural communities.
