The emergency medicine program in Murfreesboro provides a rich educational program for our residents that covers the core content of emergency medicine on an 18 month cycle (twice throughout residency).
Emergency Medicine Grand Rounds are held weekly on Thursday mornings from 8AM to 1 PM. Conference time is protected.
In addition to lectures, we utilize a variety of interactive learning strategies such as skills workshops, simulation exercises, mock oral boards, interactive podcasts, M&M conference, Clinical Question conference, and our monthly Journal Club.
We feel it is important to provide a solid framework for our residents’ non-clinical education as well, and topics such as preparing for your emergency medicine career, personal finance, and the non-clinical aspects of emergency medicine are incorporated into our curriculum and mentoring.
