Residency Application Process

The following documents must be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS):

  • Dean's Letter
  • Medical school transcript
  • Three letters of recommendation (at least two should be from emergency medicine faculty in the Standardized Letter of Evaluation (SLOE) format endorsed by CORD)
  • USMLE transcript
  • Personal statement
  • Applicants with previous residency experience must submit letters from their previous program director.

Foreign/International Medical Graduate applications must include:

  • A copy of your ECFMG certification.
  • Copies of all: ECFMG, FMGEMS, FLEX scores.
  • At least two letters of recommendation originating from the USA.
  • We only accept ONLY J1 visas.
  • At least one year of clinical experience in the U.S., Canada, U.K., or Israel is required.

Residency Application Timeline

Completed applications for the emergency medicine program will be reviewed after the Dean's letter is released and interviews will be granted on a rolling basis. Those candidates invited for interviews will be notified by email.

Interview Day Information

2023 Interview Information

We will receive applications in late October and will send out interview invites the first week of November. Invites will go out on a rolling basis and interviews will be conducted virtually. Interviews will take place on Thursday afternoons or Friday mornings. Candidates will receive a presentation from the Program Director then be interviewed by faculty and residents.
