2021-2022 Fellow Compensation Rates for ACGME-Accredited Programs

*In addition to the base salary, those residents participating in the disability and group life insurance programs provided through GME currently receive an additional $660 per year for disability and life insurance benefits as shown above in Column 3. Fellows not participating do not receive this stipend.


Vacation

Paid annual leave of three (3) weeks per twelve month period. Sick leave of three (3) weeks per twelve month period for absences due to personal or family (spouse, child, or parent) illness or injury.


Stipend

The educational stipend for fellows is $1,000 per year. A variety of educational materials are covered, per the Reimbursement Guidelines for UT GME Support Dollars.

White Coats

Each incoming fellow will be provided with three personalized white coats and one coat each year thereafter as necessary.


Computers

Each incoming fellow will be assigned a laptop for use during the course of their training.  Additionally, fellows will have access to computers in all clinical areas, as well as the medical library.


Insurance Coverage

Health insurance is required and administrated by CIGNA Healthcare. Fellows pay 20% of the premium for the health coverage selected. Life and Disability Insurance plans are also offered. More details on these policies can be found here.
